Job summary

IBM Consulting UK FutureNow seeks a Senior Full Stack Quality Engineer to lead automation across UI, API, services and integration layers during major migration programs. You will design scalable automation, integrate tests into CI/CD and mentor teams in a complex, multi-supplier environment.

You’ll work closely with client teams, architects, developers and DevOps, delivering high-quality artefacts and ensuring product readiness throughout migration cycles.

Qualifications

• Automation across UI, API, services, and integration layers.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#.
• Hands-on with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, Appium.
• Experience with microservices and containers.
• CI/CD pipeline expertise (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define test approaches and quality strategies for large refactoring and migration initiatives.
• Build and maintain full-stack automation frameworks covering UI, API, services, microservices, containers, and integrations.
• Create test artefacts including test plans, scenarios, scripts, and data models.
• Automate end-to-end test execution and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop reusable automation assets to support testing and regression.
• Execute manual and automated tests to validate migration progress.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and DevOps to troubleshoot issues.
• Analyse defects and drive continuous quality improvement.
• Work within a multi-supplier environment coordinating dependencies.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring on quality practices.
