Job summary

IBM Consulting UK is seeking a Senior Full Stack Quality Engineer to drive end‑to‑end validation during major migration initiatives. You will define test strategies, build scalable automation, and integrate tests across UI, API, services, and data layers.

You’ll collaborate with architects, developers, and DevOps to deliver high quality software in a large, multi‑supplier programme. You’ll lead automation efforts, design reusable assets, and mentor functional testers while ensuring CI/CD

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and implementing automation across UI, API, services, and integration layers.
• Hands‑on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, Appium).
• Understanding of microservices, containers, and distributed architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test artefact creation.

Responsibilities

• Define test approaches and quality strategies for large application refactoring and migration initiatives.
• Build and maintain full‑stack automation frameworks for UI, API, services, and integrations.
• Create test artefacts including test plans, scenarios, scripts, and data models.
• Automate end‑to‑end test execution and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality checks.
• Develop reusable automation assets to support functional and regression testing.
• Execute manual and automated tests to validate application behaviour during migration.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and DevOps teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Analyse defects, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous quality improvement.
• Work within a multi‑supplier environment, managing dependencies across teams.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and quality guidance.
