Job summary

Version 1 in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Technical Lead to join our UK Digital & Cloud Practice in Edinburgh. You will work on challenging, large-scale transformation and migration projects across public and private sectors.

You will lead technical delivery, own architectural decisions, and mentor a team while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure secure, high-quality software solutions and successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of modern architectural patterns including microservices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and security considerations.
• Ability to design scalable, secure software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership within the team to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
• Work in an agile delivery methodology to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.
• Take technical ownership of products, including design, estimation, and requirements.
• Document architectures, configurations, releases and support handover.
• Collaborate with PMs, BAs, Testing, Product and other stakeholders.
• Communicate technical designs clearly to diverse audiences.
• Deliver effective knowledge transfer to team members and customers.
• Mentor and develop junior team members and foster collaboration.
• Foster a positive working environment and strong team communication.
