Job summary

Version 1 in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Technical Lead to join our UK Digital & Cloud Practice in Edinburgh. You will work on challenging, large-scale transformation and migration projects across public and private sectors.

You will lead technical delivery, own architectural decisions, and mentor a team while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure secure, high-quality software solutions and successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

Deep understanding of modern architectural patterns including microservices.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and security considerations.
Ability to design scalable, secure software solutions.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership within the team to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
Work in an agile delivery methodology to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.
Take technical ownership of products, including design, estimation, and requirements.
Document architectures, configurations, releases and support handover.
Collaborate with PMs, BAs, Testing, Product and other stakeholders.
Communicate technical designs clearly to diverse audiences.
Deliver effective knowledge transfer to team members and customers.
Mentor and develop junior team members and foster collaboration.
Foster a positive working environment and strong team communication.
