Job summary

Digital Skills Ltd in Manchester seeks a Senior Software Engineer with strong TypeScript, JavaScript and iOS experience. This full-stack role centers on TS/JS with around 40% iOS work, leveraging the iOS SDK, Swift and/or Objective-C.

The position is an initial 6-month contract with a hybrid work pattern and on-site office presence in Manchester two days per week. You will design and deliver end-to-end features, improve infrastructure and drive technical excellence across the team, mentoring

Qualifications

8+ years of professional software development experience across multiple technologies.
Strong experience with TypeScript and JavaScript in a full-stack environment.
5+ years of experience with the iOS SDK and hands-on Swift/Objective-C development.
Strong understanding of software architecture and scalable services.
Experience with automated testing and deploying iOS apps.
Proactive, self-motivated and able to mentor and collaborate.

Responsibilities

Design, build and deliver app-wide features across TypeScript, JavaScript and iOS.
Develop and maintain high-quality software across the stack with focus on TS/JS.
Contribute to iOS development, building mobile features with Swift/Obj-C.
Work across layers to deliver end-to-end features.
Identify and resolve infrastructure, application and technical issues.
Lead technical initiatives and participate in architectural discussions.
Mentor teammates and support onboarding of new hires.
Promote collaboration and turn ideas into scalable solutions.
Contribute to recruitment activities and technical interviews.
