Preply is seeking a Senior II Full Stack Engineer to join a cross-functional team building scalable backend systems using Python/Django and frontend in React/TypeScript. You’ll lead complex projects from discovery to deployment, shaping architectural direction and driving engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Backend-heavy full-stack role (≈85% backend, 15% frontend).
• Experience designing large-scale web apps with well-designed APIs.
• Strong collaboration across product, data, design and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve scalable backend systems (Python/Django).
• Develop frontend experiences in React/TypeScript and contribute to frontend best practices.
• Lead complex initiatives from discovery to deployment with long-term sustainability in mind.
• Mentor peers and raise engineering standards across frontend and backend.
• Partner with Product, Data and UX to drive data-driven product decisions.
• Shape system architecture to improve scalability, reliability and dev productivity.
• Prioritize work aligned with business impact and customer value.
• Provide technical leadership beyond the immediate team.
