Job summary

Aberdeen plc is seeking a proactive Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join the Digital Engineering team. You will shape platforms, APIs and integrations powering our digital products, leading design, development and support across enterprise-scale systems.

You'll work with architects, product teams and engineers to drive engineering excellence, automation and resilience, with a strong focus on CI/CD, observability and secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including maintainable design, testing, code review and continuous improvement.
• Experience designing and securing APIs, including REST, OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and service-to-service communication.
• Strong Microsoft Azure experience covering application hosting, networking, monitoring and integration services.
• Advanced C# and .NET development skills, including asynchronous programming, dependency injection and automated testing.
• Solid understanding of integration patterns, distributed systems and secure application architecture.
• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions and modern CI/CD practices.
• Strong SQL skills, including data modelling, performance optimisation and data-quality analysis.
• Proven ability to lead technical delivery within Agile teams.
• Experience mentoring engineers and supporting team development through coaching and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of applications, APIs and integration solutions from design through to production support.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and guide delivery decisions aligned with architecture, security and resilience standards.
• Manage technical dependencies, risks and priorities while collaborating with stakeholders across engineering and delivery teams.
• Design, build and support secure, observable APIs and integrations across Aberdeen and third-party platforms.
• Develop reliable data processing and reconciliation capabilities with strong controls, traceability and data quality standards.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and engineering automation using GitHub and modern tooling.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure and compliant with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement through operational excellence, incident management and root cause analysis.
