Job summary

Aberdeen Group in Edinburgh is seeking a Digital Engineer to design, build and maintain cloud-based digital services and APIs. You will work across front-end applications, back-end services, and enterprise integrations, leveraging Azure, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to deliver secure and scalable solutions.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, Architects and UX teams to ensure high-quality digital experiences while expanding your skills across a broad tech stack, including

Qualifications

• Experience developing and supporting production digital applications using modern engineering practices.
• Experience building REST APIs or back-end services, ideally using C# and .NET.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, Git, GitHub and CI/CD automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support digital applications, APIs, services and integrations across Aberdeen’s digital estate, delivering secure and scalable solutions.
• Build and support cloud-hosted applications within Microsoft Azure while maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, UX teams and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital experiences and business outcomes.
• Monitor live services, investigate incidents, resolve issues and contribute to improvements that reduce recurring problems.
• Produce technical documentation, participate in code reviews and help improve engineering standards, tooling and ways of working.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright and integrate quality checks into CI/CD pipelines.
