Job summary

Altech Group Ltd is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join a small, senior team building an AI-powered platform for mortgage and financial advice across the UK.

You will own major areas of the stack, design REST APIs, work with Django/React, and apply AI tooling to accelerate delivery while maintaining high quality. This remote-first UK role offers a clear path to impact and ownership within a growing private equity-backed group.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' commercial experience with Python and Django building production applications.
• 5+ years' experience with React and strong TypeScript skills.
• Proven experience designing REST APIs and working with relational databases.
• Ability to work across the full stack from data modelling to frontend implementation.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools as part of the development workflow.
• Strong testing, code review, documentation and maintainability practices.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly within a small senior engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end features across a Django and React application, from database design and backend APIs to user-facing functionality.
• Own key product areas, taking responsibility for their development, performance, reliability and improvement.
• Develop AI-powered functionality, integrating intelligent capabilities into real-world user workflows.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on architectural decisions, code reviews and technical improvements.
• Maintain high engineering standards through automated testing, reviews and clear documentation.
• Scale the platform as adoption increases, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Leverage AI coding tools to accelerate development without compromising quality.
