Job summary

Lendable is seeking a full-stack Python engineer to join our Central Operations team in London. You will own features across core products, shipping internal web apps and AI-powered automations for scale and efficiency.

You’ll work with Python frameworks (FastAPI preferred), React/Next.js, and cloud tooling (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform) in a product-driven, collaborative environment. Hybrid working applies with in-office days.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with Python in a web application context.
• Proficient with web frameworks such as FastAPI, Django or Flask (we use FastAPI).
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern JS framework (React/Next.js).
• Strong engineering practices: design patterns, testing, clean code, code reviews.
• Experience in a product-focused team.
• Keen to learn and contribute to Generative AI/LLMs.
• Familiarity with AI tools in daily coding.
• Exposure to Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems and Event Sourcing.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS.
• SQL and data schemas familiarity.
• Shipping containerised software with Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform.
• CSS and Tailwind exposure.

Responsibilities

• Ship features used daily by Operations teams.
• Own engineering perspective within Central Ops.
• Build internal web apps and robust automations for operations.
• Apply AI where it adds real value in workflows.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science and Analytics to deploy solutions.
