Job summary

Dex is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to own customer-facing interfaces that transform real-time sensor data into actionable insights. You will shape core frontend components and extend platform workflows within a small, high-autonomy team, from prototype to robust production-grade features.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, React/TypeScript/Vite/Tailwind proficiency, and delivering performant, accessible interfaces for diverse customer needs.

Qualifications

• Extensive production experience with React, TypeScript, Vite, and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with gRPC/protobuf at the API layer.
• Proven track record of building performant data-visualization interfaces.
• Strong UX, accessibility, and visual design sensibilities.
• Experience with real-time data and asynchronous patterns such as WebSockets and web workers.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build core frontend components that transform real-time sensor data into intuitive, navigable operational intelligence.
• Drive end-to-end development of customer-specific workflows across the platform.
• Translate prototypes into production-ready features with robust, scalable abstractions.

What You Bring

• Significant production experience with React, TypeScript, Vite, and Tailwind CSS, including comfort with gRPC/protobuf at the API layer.
• Proven ability to build performant, dynamic interfaces for complex data visualization, prioritizing clarity and ease of understanding.
• Deep comfort with real-time data flows and asynchronous patterns (WebSockets, web workers).
• Track record of writing testable, reusable code, with experience maintaining design systems and using testing frameworks (e.g., Vitest, Jest, Playwright).
• A strong, demonstrated sense of user experience, accessibility, and visual design.
