Job summary

Octopus Energy is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer (frontend focus) to join our Low Carbon Tech team in the UK. You’ll design and build platform architecture, data integrations, and automations to scale up electrotech in homes, while maintaining accessibility and performance at scale.

You’ll own features end-to-end, collaborate with product managers and designers, and shape brand-new projects from scratch. We value autonomous, cross-functional work and a pragmatic AI mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with our stack.
• Experience solving problems beyond strict guidelines.
• Ownership of the full development cycle: requirements, execution, deployment, monitoring.
• Ability to tackle large tasks independently.
• Empathetic collaboration and delegation.
• Develop websites meeting accessibility guidelines.
• Build scalable sites handling high traffic.
• Willingness to drive cross-functional work (frontend, backend, DevOps).
• Pragmatic AI mindset with AI workflows tooling knowledge.
• Desirable: energy domain knowledge.

Responsibilities
