Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking a senior frontend engineer to lead the flexibility team's frontend capability in the UK. You will own a range of customer journeys for onboarding, control, and analysis of low carbon tech, and build internal interfaces for stakeholders and experiments.

You will collaborate with our design team to integrate the Coral design system, drive accessibility and performance, and work closely with product managers on discovery and delivery of new opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend experience with the relevant stack.
• Ability to turn problems into strong solutions rather than strict guidelines.
• Proven ownership of the development cycle from requirements through deployment and monitoring.
• Capability to tackle large-scale tasks independently.
• Empathetic collaboration and delegation with teammates.
• Ability to build accessible websites meeting strong guidelines.
• Experience delivering scalable, high-traffic web experiences.

Responsibilities

• Act as the frontend engineer for the flexibility team, establishing capability and setting direction.
• Build and own diverse customer journeys for onboarding, control, and analysis of low carbon tech.
• Create internal interfaces for stakeholders and experimental prototypes.
• Collaborate with mobile teams by providing WebViews for evolving journeys.
• Work with design to integrate Coral design system into products.
• Engage in product discovery with Product Manager and organizational stakeholders.
• Develop highly reusable interfaces for rapid opportunities.
