Job summary

Disturbia is seeking a Senior Front-End Developer to lead Shopify Plus storefronts from Newcastle. You will own architecture, ensure performance, accessibility and quality, and drive front-end standards across multi-store environments.

You will translate business goals into fast, accessible storefronts, partnering with ecommerce, marketing and creative teams while maintaining modern deployment workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering production front‑end solutions within Shopify ecosystem.
• Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript with focus on performance.
• Experience building scalable, reusable front-end components for high-traffic ecommerce.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, development and continuous improvement of Shopify themes across storefronts and markets.
• Turn customer insight and design concepts into high-quality frontend experiences to improve conversions.
• Lead optimisation of storefront performance, accessibility, responsiveness and Core Web Vitals.
• Establish and maintain frontend engineering standards, component libraries, testing practices and documentation.
• Assess and implement new technologies and third‑party apps to enhance customer experience.
