Job summary

Disturbia is seeking a Senior Front-End Developer to lead the Shopify Plus storefronts from Newcastle. You will own front-end architecture, code quality, and performance, delivering fast, accessible storefront experiences across multiple markets.

You will collaborate with e-commerce, creative and marketing teams to translate business goals into reusable front-end components, optimise Core Web Vitals, and mentor peers while driving standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Advanced Shopify Liquid development experience within Shopify Plus environments.
• Strong expertise in modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript with focus on performance.
• Experience building scalable, reusable front-end components for high-traffic e-commerce sites.
• Ability to translate design concepts and UX requirements into production-ready experiences.
• Solid knowledge of Git, code review, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Commercial awareness using analytics and experimentation to drive outcomes.
• Excellent communication and leadership across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive and independent work style with continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, development and continuous improvement of Shopify themes across multiple storefronts and international markets.
• Turn customer insight and business priorities into high-quality front-end experiences that boost conversion.
• Lead optimization of storefront performance, accessibility, responsiveness and Core Web Vitals.
• Collaborate with e-commerce, marketing and creative teams to deliver data-informed improvements.
• Establish and maintain front-end standards, libraries, testing, and documentation.
• Assess and implement new technologies and third-party integrations to enhance performance.
