Job summary

Supreme Recruitment is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for logistics and freight forwarding in Colnbrook. You will direct the freight forwarding department, optimize fleet schedules, manage key client relations, and ensure accurate compliance with customs controls.

The role requires 3–5 years in senior freight forwarding or depot management, deep knowledge of UK–European road and groupage operations, and proficiency with LMS and analytics tools.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of senior freight forwarding, logistics or depot management experience.
• UK–European road freight, ocean freight and express groupage knowledge.
• Robust post-Brexit customs procedures and compliance understanding.
• Experience using LMS and analytics tools.
• Experience navigating UK–Ireland supply chains is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Direct logistics planners, transport teams, and warehouse personnel to maximize depot productivity.
• Oversee vehicle and trailer planning for domestic and European groupage routes to ensure efficiency.
• Escalate pricing structures and safeguard payload margins for corporate accounts.
• Partner with Customs Compliance to ensure import/export controls meet regulations.
• Monitor KPIs related to transit times, depot efficiency, and fiscal performance.
