Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Gloucester is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer with VHDL/Verilog to contribute to defence, cyber, and intelligence programmes. You will help design, develop, test and deploy RF systems and SDR applications within a multi-disciplinary team, using the OpenCPI framework.

Qualifications

Evidence of using VHDL to implement efficient solutions on resource constrained embedded devices.
Experience with RF communications and software-defined radio technologies.
Knowledge of digital signal processing, algorithm or payload development, and embedded system design.
Proficiency in VHDL (or Verilog) for embedded applications.

Responsibilities

Develop and integrate DSP and SDR functions in VHDL for OpenCPI-based applications.
Design and integrate RF communication systems within cross-functional teams.
Engage in test-driven development and create test harnesses for system verification.
Optimize performance of OpenCPI-based systems across hardware platforms.
Leverage AI/ML tooling and hybrid cloud environments to improve results.
Collaborate with peers and lead delivery to meet customer requirements on time.
