Ultra Intelligence & Communications is seeking a skilled FPGA firmware engineer to join the firmware team within the Cyber Business Unit. You will define, design, implement and test FPGA firmware across multiple programmes, ensuring compliance with project requirements and security policies.

The role requires experience with FPGA toolchains, hardware schematics interpretation, and collaboration across software/hardware teams.

Formación

• Degree in engineering, mathematical or science-based subject or equivalent experience.
• Experience of FPGA module design and implementation.
• Proficiency with FPGA toolchains and development environments.
• Experience of FPGA firmware testing and design for test.
• Ability to read hardware schematics.
• Experience with version control, change control and bug tracking tools.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze requirements and derive design and firmware architecture from system level to FPGA modules.
• Apply best practices to FPGA firmware design under lead engineer guidance.
• Implement FPGA firmware modules and ensure adherence to standards and security.
• Create firmware test specifications for modules and full FPGA designs.
• Ensure test procedures work with CI systems.
• Collaborate across software and hardware teams for integration.
• Suggest improvements to tools, processes and techniques.
• Contribute to project balance of requirements, schedule and cost.
• Prepare documentation and participate in customer meetings.
• Estimate effort for firmware activities to meet cost and schedule.
