Qualifications

Quant Capital is urgently looking for a FPGA Engineer to join our high profile client.

Our client is a well known global High Frequency Trading firm. They value technology especially the opensource variety as well as scalability and robust performance (much like their track record).

This is a bleeding edge role as close as it gets to the market. You will be offered an almost unlimited budget and the ability to make the right decisions in a non-bureaucratic environment.

This position requires close collaboration with their software engineers, Traders and Infrastructure teams in an effort to best align technical solutions with the schedules and analytic needs of various strategies.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in both RTL design as well as software engineering. The candidate must have a keen interest in using software engineering methodologies to improve the efficiency of the hardware development workflow, as well as the ability to integrate their designs into a larger software stack.

FPGA Developers should have:

• Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in trading and finance, this is not a requirement
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field
• A background in both RTL design and software engineering
• Experience with FPGA vendor tools such as Vivado / Quartus
• Software development experience with a language such as C++ or Java
• A strong understanding of the Linux operating system
• Understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP and Ethernet
