Vicon Motion Systems Ltd. in Yarnton, Oxfordshire, is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to join the Vicon Hardware team. You will contribute to cutting-edge motion capture hardware, reporting to the Lead Hardware Development Engineer.

You will design and verify FPGA code, ensure timing closure, work with cross-discipline engineers, and support manufacturing from early studies to post-release. Join a world‑leading motion capture innovator with a strong legacy in films, sports and biomechanics,

Qualifications

• Strong experience in VHDL with algorithm implementation.
• Essential timing closure experience.
• Knowledge of LVDS, PCIe interfaces.
• Experience with HDL test benches and verification.
• Manufacturing-focused design with DFM/DFT experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and verify FPGA code for high-speed hardware products.
• Ensure timing closure and functional performance before release.
• Perform code reviews of VHDL/Verilog.
• Collaborate with electronics, mechanical and software engineers.
• Ensure test coverage and regulatory compliance.
• Involvement from concept studies through to manufacturing support.
