Job summary

South End City Council is in search of a Fostering & Adoption Panel Advisor to provide essential support in ensuring that children achieve success. This vital role involves advising on Adoption and Fostering Panels, coordinating panel arrangements, and supporting the decision-making process for fostering care.

The successful candidate will have a recognized Social Work qualification, extensive panel experience, and demonstrate the ability to meet children's needs effectively.

Qualifications

• Recognized Social Work qualification and registered with Social Work England.
• Extensive fostering and adoption panel experience required.
• 2+ years in performance and quality assurance experience necessary.
• Knowledge of fostering regulations within social services context needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional advice to the Adoption and Fostering Panels.
• Ensure arrangements for panels are coordinated and run smoothly.
• Support decision-making processes for foster carers' approval.
• Lead analysis and reporting of fostering panel activities.
• Attend and coordinate permanency panel and planning meetings.
