Job summary

Essex County Council is recruiting for a Fostering Panel and Data Performance Advisor. This permanent, part-time role (18.5 hours per week) focuses on providing expert advice to the fostering panel and ensuring quality assurance through Ofsted data sets.

You will lead audit activity, translate findings into practice improvements, and work with the Fostering Panel Chair to produce six monthly QA reports. A qualified social worker with HCPC registration and fostering experience is required, with

Qualifications

Qualified social worker with HCPC registration and safeguarding knowledge.
Significant fostering experience and managerial experience.
Understanding of Children Act 1989/2004 and childcare legislation.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to lead audit and quality assurance activities.

Responsibilities

Ensure fostering panel and agency work aligns with legislation, policy and guidance.
Manage membership and functioning of the fostering panel.
Review and revise policy and procedures for the panel.
Monitor quality of practice and case information submitted to the panel.
Provide expert advice and feedback to social workers presenting cases to the panel and decision maker.
Collaborate to compile 6 monthly QA reports for senior managers.
