Job summary

Luxoft seeks Forward Deployed Engineers to strengthen security, release reliability, maintainability, and resilience of banking applications. You will lead hands-on engagements with development teams, addressing vulnerability remediation, automated testing, and legacy modernization while guiding technical remediation.

The role blends senior software engineering, DevOps, SRE, test automation, and application security.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on software engineering experience with production apps.
• Java/JVM development essential; strong TypeScript for Node.js projects valuable.
• Spring ecosystem, modernizing Java apps, and secure coding practices required.
• Active coding, debugging, code reviews, and production readiness expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead targeted engagements addressing security, testing, and resilience with dev teams.
• Assess code, runtimes, test coverage, CI/CD, observability, and risks.
• Write and review production code; implement modernization and remediation plans.
• Develop tests and automate releases within CI/CD pipelines.
• Upgrade runtimes/frameworks, container platforms, and OS to supported versions.
• Coach engineers and communicate decisions to stakeholders.
