Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Developer/Architect to design and deliver high-quality software across trading and regulatory platforms in a hybrid London setting. You will shape enterprise architecture, modernise integration frameworks, and lead cloud adoption while mentoring engineering teams.

You will drive development across front, middle, and back-office systems, ensure resilience and security, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in .NET, C#, and SQL Server development and architecture.
• Experience designing enterprise solutions in financial markets tech environments.
• Deep understanding of trade lifecycle including order processing and risk management.
• Hands-on with FIX protocol and exchange/CCP connectivity across venues.
• Proven experience with event-driven and microservices architectures.
• Background with messaging/streaming tech such as Kafka and IBM MQ.
• Experience building real-time data platforms and distributed systems.
• Expertise with containerisation and Azure cloud environments.
• Experience supporting cloud migration for regulated financial workloads.
• Knowledge of EMIR, MiFID II, CASS, MAR, DORA, CFTC or similar.
• Ability to communicate with technical teams and executives.
• Experience producing architecture docs, decision records, governance artefacts.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain architecture strategies across trading, clearing, and post-trade systems.
• Lead modernisation of integration frameworks, APIs, and messaging architectures.
• Develop and govern enterprise data architecture to improve quality and security.
• Drive architecture standards, best practices, and governance across technology teams.
• Design highly resilient solutions aligned with resilience and recovery objectives.
• Ensure technology solutions meet regulatory and compliance by design.
• Support change management and incident management processes.
• Mentor engineers on architecture, cloud-native development, and engineering best practices.
• Champion DevSecOps, automation, and Infrastructure as Code initiatives.
• Support secure, explainable, and compliant AI adoption across the organisation.
