Job summary

EY in the UK seeks an experienced Forward Deployed AI Engineer to join our Core Business Services. This hands-on role combines technical leadership with practical delivery, designing and building AI agents and automation tools.

You will oversee projects, set engineering standards, and mentor junior staff while shaping new work with ownership of end-to-end governance including AI risk and information security.

Qualifications

• Experience designing AI agents and automation tools.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentorship experience.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI agents and automation tools to solve complex problems.
• Design AI solutions across portfolios, including orchestration layers and scalable, reusable components.
• Decide between low-code and pro-code approaches and set engineering standards.
• Design cloud-native AI platforms and integrate new offerings.
• Provide technical oversight and QA for projects and teammates while contributing hands-on work.
• Shape and scope new demand by translating business problems into technical deliverables.
