Job summary

South West London and St Georges Mental Health Trust is seeking an OT specialist to provide a forensic step-down service. You will manage a defined caseload, deliver evidence-based OT assessments and interventions, and contribute to MDT work across community and clinical settings.

You will act as Disability Champion, provide clinical supervision to junior staff and students, and participate in MAPPA and CPA meetings to ensure patient-centred care within MH Act/MCA frameworks.

Qualifications

• Specialist occupational therapy service in a forensic step-down setting.
• Deliver evidence-based, person-centred OT assessments and interventions.
• Manage a defined caseload across community and clinical settings.
• Provide clinical supervision and support to junior staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Attend CPA reviews, risk management meetings and tribunals where appropriate.
• Contribute to multi-agency working, including MAPPA processes.
• Liaise with inpatient and community services to coordinate care.
• Promote equality, accessibility and inclusion as Disability Champion.
