Job summary

Environment Agency in England is seeking a Senior Advisor in Fluvial Flood Risk Modelling to support and provide assurance to complex flood risk modelling within Evidence Services.

You will mentor and technically lead six Fluvial Delivery Teams, apply expert hydraulics knowledge, and work with risk mapping colleagues to drive high-quality outcomes while communicating complexities to non-experts.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge and leadership in flood modelling and hydrology.
• Experience building hydraulic flood models in fluvial settings.
• Experience with data processing and GIS software.
• Mentoring and coaching to develop others.

Responsibilities

• Support and provide assurance to complex flood risk modelling.
• Mentor and coach six Fluvial Delivery Teams.
• Collaborate with Risk Assessment/Mapping colleagues across the Centre.
• Explain complex results clearly to non-experts.
