Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Principal Flood Risk Consultant based in Peterborough to lead and deliver flood risk projects across the UK. You will oversee hydraulic modelling, 1D-2D modelling using Infoworks ICM and TUFLOW, and work with GIS tools to develop robust solutions for clients.

You’ll mentor junior staff, manage project delivery, and engage in business development and tendering while maintaining high standards of quality and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering flood risk projects with emphasis on hydraulic modelling.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical work and mentor junior staff in flood risk management.
• Ensure quality assurance for technical deliverables.
• Develop and test project solutions for flood mitigation.
• Manage and supervise junior resources.
• Support project managers with financial and change control.
• Engage in business development activities, including tendering and client engagement.
