Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Principal Flood Risk Consultant to shape flood risk management across sectors. Location: Flexible UK Locations. Salary £60,000 - £70,000. You will lead flood risk projects and collaborate with clients and design teams.

The role focuses on hydraulic modelling, hydrology, and GIS, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and contribute to business development in Aviation, Defense, Energy, Cities & Development, Education, Rail and Water sectors.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering flood risk projects.
• Proficient in 1D-2D modelling with InfoWorks ICM, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller and GIS.
• Strong leadership and team development experience.
• Excellent decision-making and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative mindset.

Responsabilités

• Lead technical work in flood risk management, focusing on hydraulic modelling, hydrology, and GIS.
• Mentor and guide junior staff, ensuring QA for technical deliverables.
• Develop and test project solutions for flood mitigation.
• Manage and supervise junior resources, supporting project managers and directors.
• Engage in business development, including tendering and client engagement.
