Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer

My Client, a market-leading, multidisciplinary Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is seeking a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their Flood Risk Team. This is a remote role!

This position offers the opportunity to work with a friendly team on Flood Risk, Civils, and Drainage Projects for Consultancies, Local Authorities, and Private Sector Clients within the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1, 2, and 3.
• Perform Flood Consequence Assessments.
• Design earthworks and site layouts.
• Plan cut and fill operations and levels.
• Develop Drainage Strategies for planning applications and design drainage systems using Infodrainage and Causeway Flow.
• Implement flood alleviation measures.
• Design highways and pavements.
• Manage projects effectively.

Candidate Requirements:

• A strong BSc and/or MSc degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, Hydrology, or Geography.
• Experience working in a consultancy or local authority, conducting flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, and design using Microdrainage, Infodrainage, or Flow.
• An interest in flood risk, drainage, and modelling, with enthusiasm for UK-based and international projects.
