Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Senior Flood Modeller for their Manchester team. The role involves leading 1D/2D hydraulic modelling for flood risk projects across the UK, using Flood Modeller and TUFLOW, and delivering technical outputs and reports.

The candidate will manage projects, liaise with clients and regulators, and mentor junior members of the team, while contributing to scopes, proposals and bids.

Qualifications

• Experience in flood risk and hydraulic modelling.
• Experience producing technical reports and interpreting modelling outputs.
• Relevant degree in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Undertake 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling for fluvial and surface water flood risk projects.
• Develop and run models using Flood Modeller and TUFLOW.
• Prepare Flood Risk Assessments, technical reports and modelling outputs.
• Analyse and interpret model results and provide technical recommendations.
• Manage modelling projects from data review through to completion.
• Liaise with clients, regulators and project stakeholders.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Assist with project scopes, fee proposals and bids.
