Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Senior Flood Modeller to join their Manchester team. You will undertake 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling for fluvial and surface water flood risk projects across the UK, developing outputs and technical reports for clients and regulators.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Hydrology, Civil or Environmental Engineering, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in flood risk and hydraulic modelling.
• Strong experience using Flood Modeller; TUFLOW experience is advantageous.
• Good understanding of fluvial and surface water flood risk.
• Experience producing technical reports and interpreting modelling outputs.
• Relevant degree in Hydrology, Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related subject.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage workload and projects.

Responsibilities

A specialist environmental consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Flood Modeller to join their team in Manchester. The role will involve working across a range of flood risk, hydraulic modelling and environmental projects throughout the UK.

The Role:

• Undertake 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling for fluvial and surface water flood risk projects.
• Develop and run models using Flood Modeller and TUFLOW.
• Prepare Flood Risk Assessments, technical reports and modelling outputs.
• Analyse and interpret model results and provide technical recommendations.
