Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Hydrology, Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in hydraulic modelling or flood risk consultancy.
• Experience with Flood Modeller and/or TUFLOW.
• Good understanding of UK flood risk and drainage principles.
• GIS experience with ArcGIS or QGIS would be beneficial.
• Strong technical report writing skills.
• Good communication and project management skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to recruit a Hydraulic Modeller to join their established flood risk and water team in Manchester.

The role will involve working on a range of flood risk, drainage and water environment projects across the UK, with the opportunity to develop technically within a growing team.

The Role

• Developing and running 1D and 2D hydraulic models
• Flood risk assessments and flood mapping
• Surface water, fluvial and drainage modelling
• Model build, verification, calibration and sensitivity testing
