Job summary

ScottishPower is recruiting a Fleet Compliance Engineer to support the Lead Operations Manager in controlling vehicle risks and ensuring DVSA Operator Licence compliance for a fleet of 1,500 vehicles. The role covers roadworthiness, maintenance record audits and driver safety.

Based in Glasgow with hybrid working, the position focuses on risk identification, escalation, and process development to maintain compliance and safety standards across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Experience managing vehicle compliance for a commercial fleet.
• Knowledge of fleet risk management processes and policy information.
• Strong health, safety and environmental management awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Fleet HS&E controls across the ScottishPower businesses and a UK fleet audit programme.
• Implement audit practices to demonstrate vehicle record compliance with Operator Licence requirements.
• Inspect vehicles (HGV and LCV) in the field to verify maintenance work is safe and compliant.
• Escalate areas of concern to managers and external partners.
• Develop an escalation process for management information reporting on fleet risk trends.
