Job summary

AvantiGas is seeking a Fleet Manager to take full ownership of our UK fleet, compliance and training. The role ensures every vehicle is safe, compliant and on the road to support customers. You will lead across all Operating Licences, setting standards and delivering training plans for our teams.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of UK Operations & Logistics, manage fleet governance, and drive improvements in compliance and efficiency across the organisation.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience managing as lead Transport Manager.
• Deep knowledge of operating licence requirements and EU/GB drivers' hours.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead Transport Manager across all AvantiGas Operating Licences.
• Ensure full compliance with vehicle operation requirements and regulatory standards.
• Own compliance with drivers' hours, Working Time Directive, tachograph and ADR/CDG for DG.
• Liaise with DVSA, Traffic Commissioner and regulatory bodies.
• Manage safe fleet maintenance and annual fleet budget.
• Lead improvements in telematics and coaching on MPG, idling and speeding.
• Manage disposal of fleet vehicles with auditable records.
• Select and manage suppliers with Procurement on fleet specs and workshop selection.
• Provide support to 3PL operations and monitor costs.
• Oversee planning and execution of all training requirements.
