Job summary

Reading Scientific Services Ltd (RSSL) seeks a Senior Flavour Scientist II to lead complex flavour projects at the Reading site. You will perform GC-O, GC-MS and LC-MS analyses and supervise junior staff to ensure timely, high-quality results.

Based at RSSL, you will collaborate with Mondelez and clients, develop methods, and uphold GMP/UKAS standards while mentoring a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent lab experience.
• Excellent understanding of GC-O, GC-MS and LC-MS.
• Strong knowledge of GMP/UKAS quality systems.
• Excellent English written and spoken communication.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction within the flavour science area across departments.
• Perform analyses using GC-O, GC-MS and LC-MS.
• Develop and validate analytical methods and protocols.
• Train and supervise junior team members.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to present results.
