Job summary

Cellular Origins is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to own core firmware development for our automation platform. You will work closely with electronics, mechanical, automation and biology teams, driving firmware from requirements through production in a bioprocess environment.

You will design for reliability on ARM microcontrollers (STM32), develop automated tests, and contribute to cross-disciplinary decisions to move our robotic manufacturing technology forward.

Qualifications

• Strong track record delivering embedded systems.
• Experience in C/C++ on ARM microcontrollers (STM32).
• Experience automating tests for embedded systems with CI workflows.
• Confident debugging hardware and software end-to-end.
• Ability to interpret datasheets and schematics for design/debug.
• Collaborative, entrepreneurial approach across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Own firmware development from requirements to production.
• Write and review C/C++ for ARM STM32 MCUs.
• Design and maintain automated tests for embedded firmware.
• Define firmware requirements and interfaces across teams.
• Debug complex embedded issues with probes, scopes and analyzers.
• Use Linux-based tools daily in development workflows.
• Build tools/GUI in Python/Java/C# for debugging or testing.
