Job summary

Cellular Origins is based on the TTP Campus, 10 miles south of Cambridge, and you’ll join a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists working on our core automation platform. You’ll design, implement and test firmware for ARM microcontrollers, work at the bench with hardware, and help shape decisions across firmware, electronics and the wider system.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in embedded firmware
• Experience with ARM microcontrollers (STM32)
• Experience with automated testing for embedded systems
• Ability to work across electronics, mechanical, automation and software teams

Responsibilities

• Own firmware development for core technology from requirements to production
• Write and review C/C++ for ARM microcontrollers (STM32)
• Design and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, HIL) and CI integration
• Translate system needs into firmware requirements and interfaces
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews, debugging complex issues
• Use Linux-based tools and environments
• Develop supporting tools and simple GUIs in languages like Python, C# or Java
