Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Fire Safety Engineer to lead the development of rigorous fire safety strategies and hazard analyses for complex projects, including nuclear and high-hazard environments. The role focuses on early design involvement, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory alignment.

You will independently manage mid-sized projects, support larger initiatives, and develop first-principles fire engineering using advanced modelling and bespoke analytic methods.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and authoring fire safety strategies and related technical documentation.
• Strong communication skills and familiarity with fire engineering methodologies.
• Experience engaging with regulators and stakeholders is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fire safety strategies and hazard analyses across multiple projects.
• Lead design teams and coordinate with architects, regulators, and clients.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to high-quality technical work across nuclear and high-hazard contexts.
