Tetra Tech is seeking a Principal Fire Safety Engineer to join our expanding fire safety team in the UK. You will deliver fire strategy design and hazard analyses across diverse sectors, including nuclear and residential, working in a collaborative consultancy environment.

The role focuses on applying advanced fire engineering principles, modelling as needed, and delivering high-quality documentation while engaging with regulators and stakeholders to meet client and regulatory objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing fire safety strategies for complex projects.
• Strong ability to produce clear technical documentation and reports.
• Experience engaging regulators and stakeholders throughout projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop fire strategies and hazard analyses across nuclear and non-nuclear sectors.
• Lead client meetings, site visits and regulatory interactions to ensure compliance.
• Write robust technical reports and contribute to proposals and project planning.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee technical quality of deliverables.
