Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Fire Safety Engineer to lead fire safety strategies and hazard analyses across high-hazard environments, including nuclear projects, within a flexible and collaborative consultancy.

You will manage mid-sized projects, apply first principles and advanced modelling, and work with architects, regulators and design teams to deliver compliant, resilient fire protection solutions. A structured progression pathway awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience developing, designing and authoring fire safety strategies and related technical documentation.
• Strong communication skills and familiarity with relevant legislation.
• Experience engaging with stakeholders and regulators is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technically demanding fire safety work on mid-sized projects and contribute to larger multidisciplinary programs.
• Lead design reviews and support multidisciplinary teams to meet regulatory requirements.
• Produce clear, technically robust fire engineering reports for clients and regulators.
• Lead proposals, define scope, manage resources and ensure on-time project delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with nuclear safety and process engineering specialists.
