Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Fire Engineer with proven experience across sectors and strong UK fire engineering knowledge. You will work with office leads to oversee a local team, offering guidance and mentorship in a consultancy setting.

The role supports career growth within a well-established fire safety practice. You will lead from inception through completion, including CFD and evacuation modelling, while developing cost estimates and collaborating on multidisciplinary reviews.

Qualifications

• CFD modelling and evacuation modelling experience within fire engineering.
• Experience managing design projects and reviewing work of team members.
• Demonstrable experience across sectors and strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects from inception to completion with limited senior oversight.
• Manage design projects and review colleagues' work.
• Apply fire engineering methods to a range of sectors with focus on UK practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to fee proposals and variations.
