Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Fire Engineer to join our Fire Team in London. This consultancy role requires proven experience across sectors, with a focus on UK regulations, and responsibility for developing a local team with mentoring from senior staff.

Qualifications

• Chartered status (CEng) in Fire Engineering or a related discipline is essential.
• Work experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business.
• Demonstrable experience in a range of sectors and UK regulations and markets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision.
• Lead and review the work of others on design projects.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and support Chartership progression.
• Develop accurate cost estimates for technical efforts on projects.
• Lead the fire engineering aspects of small to medium sized design projects.
