Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Fire Team in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on delivering fire engineering projects with strong leadership, mentorship, and client-focused delivery.

You will guide a local team and work with senior staff to expand your knowledge and capabilities within a well-established fire safety consultancy. Responsibilities include leading CFD and evacuation modelling, managing design projects, and applying UK regulations across diverse sectors.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or professional qualification.
• Experience in a consultancy or similar business.
• Experience managing fire engineering on design projects within budgets/timelines.
• Experience providing guidance to entry level fire engineers.
• Experience preparing fee proposals and task variations for fire engineering activities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects from inception to completion with minimal senior oversight, including CFD and evacuation modelling.
• Lead design projects and review work of others.
• Demonstrate experience across sectors with focus on UK regulations and markets.
• Develop approaches to solve problems using modified procedures or prior methods.
• Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of deliverables.
• Lead the development of accurate cost estimates for technical efforts.
