Qualifikationen

• 5-10 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in fire engineering.
• Experience delivering FRAEWs in PAS 9980, external wall investigations.
• Strong fire strategies, existing building assessments, compartmentation and fire protection.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations, Approved Document B, British Standards and Building Safety Act.
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualifications with substantial fire engineering experience.
• Excellent technical report writing, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring engineers and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• IFE membership or Chartered status desirable.

Aufgaben

• Lead Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEWs) in line with PAS 9980.
• Develop fire strategies for new developments, refurbishments and changes of use.
• Assess existing buildings, identify fire safety deficiencies and advise remediation.
• Manage projects from scope to delivery, ensuring quality, budgets and deadlines.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, developers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support Building Safety Regulator submissions and fire safety compliance.
• Undertake site inspections, review evidence and document risks and recommendations.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth.
