Job summary

Barclays seeks a Financial Reporting, Policy & Technical Accounting VP to lead external financial reporting, policy development, and technical accounting. You will work with the Head of Financial Reporting and Risk teams to ensure compliant, timely outputs and strengthen governance across the organisation.

The role involves directing multi-entity statutory reporting, advising stakeholders, and driving standardisation of accounting practices.

Qualifications

Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
Experience owning technical accounting processes, including multi-entity statutory reporting.
FinTech or EMI experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

Manage preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements and records.
Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, and report to senior colleagues.
Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data accuracy.
Develop and implement up-to-date financial policies and procedures.
Oversee selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and software, integrating with ERP.
Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports and assist other departments in reviews.
Coordinate with external auditors and regulators during audits.
