Job summary

Barclays in Jersey seeks an Assistant Vice President Financial Controller to oversee financial reporting for Crown Dependency branches, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely Group reporting.

You will manage day-to-day financial operations, strengthen internal controls, coordinate regulatory submissions, and provide insights to country management committees.

Collaborate with an extended team and external providers to deliver transformation and simplified processes aligned with Barclays values.

Qualifications

• Be a qualified accountant with financial services experience; private banking/wealth management is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in a Financial Control function, including regulatory reporting, or equivalent through a Finance/Business Analyst role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks and report to senior colleagues.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities during audits.
• Coordinate regulatory submissions and provide insights for management committees.
