Job summary

Marc Daniels is seeking a Financial Control & Reporting Manager on an 18-month fixed-term contract to own financial reporting and control across multiple entities. You will work closely with senior finance leadership in a high-visibility role.

The role combines technical accounting, statutory reporting, audit, and team leadership, offering responsibility within a complex organisation and exposure to strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification required.
• Strong experience in financial reporting and controls.
• Solid understanding of statutory reporting, audit and UK accounting standards.
• Experience in a multi-entity or complex environment.
• Proven balance sheet and month-end reporting expertise.
• Experience coaching or developing a team.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong proficiency with Excel and financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close and financial reporting process across multiple entities.
• Ensure accurate reporting, strong balance sheet control and robust governance.
• Lead statutory accounts preparation and manage the external audit process.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex and judgemental matters.
• Drive high standards across financial controls, processes and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline finance processes.
• Support ongoing finance systems and ERP developments.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across finance and the wider business.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of three.

The successful candidate:

• Strong balance sheet and month-end reporting experience




• Previous experience managing or developing a team




• Confident stakeholder management and communication skills




• Strong Excel and financial systems capability
