Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Finance leader to oversee financial reporting, governance, and transactional finance within a large, regulated organisation in the United Kingdom. You will manage management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, statutory accounts and audits while partnering with senior leaders to drive performance.

The role includes leading a finance team, delivering monthly management accounts, and driving finance transformation during a period of change with hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• A fully qualified accountant with strong track record in finance leadership.
• Experience delivering monthly management accounts and statutory reporting.
• Proven ability to lead finance teams through change and transformation.
• Strong governance, risk management and internal controls experience.
• Excellent engagement with board and executive stakeholders.
• Experience with external audits and regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading finance system upgrades and process improvements

Responsibilities

• Managing and developing the finance team
• Leading the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts, financial forecasts and performance reporting for senior leadership and Board members
• Acting as a business partner, providing financial analysis to operational leaders and budget holders across multiple subsidiaries
• Managing the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including long term financial planning and scenario modelling.
• Leading the preparation of statutory accounts and serving as the primary contact for external auditors throughout the annual audit cycle.
• Strengthening financial governance, risk management and internal controls
• Overseeing the management and safeguarding of funds and compliance.
• Driving continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting processes and operational efficiencies through automation and system upgrades
• Leading finance transformation initiatives and supporting the organisational through a period of change
• Supporting executive teams and committees with financial insights, governance assurance and strategic decision making

Profile

• A successful Senior Finance Manager (Reporting) should have:
• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent)
• Senior level experience as financial controller, head of finance or senior business partnering or finance manager looking for a step up
• Delivered monthly management accounts
• Statutory accounts and external audit management
• Finance systems upgrades and process improvement
• Board and executive stakeholder engagement
