Job description

Gleeson Recruitment Group is working with a client based in the Burton area seeking a commercially minded finance professional to join their FP&A team. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, this role involves budgeting, forecasting, and implementing a new planning system. The successful candidate will lead the finance aspects of capital investment projects and collaborate closely with other business teams.

Key responsibilities include developing financial models, providing insightful analysis, partnering with senior leaders for strategic decision-making, and preparing regular reports on business performance against budgets and forecasts.

The role offers a salary between £45,000 and £55,000, with a flexible work arrangement of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain models for budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
• Support the rollout of financial systems across the business
• Manage FX modeling in line with hedging policies
• Provide both short- and long-term cash flow forecasts
• Deliver financial insights across operational areas
• Collaborate with senior leaders to improve cost centre reporting
• Lead the financial management of capital projects, from budgeting to post-implementation review
• Support monthly results analysis and reporting with finance teams
• Produce monthly and quarterly reports for stakeholders
• Contribute to building and mentoring the FP&A team

Ideal Candidate

• Experience in FP&A, budgeting, or financial modeling
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence others
• Excellent attention to detail and proactive approach
• Relevant finance qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
