Role Overview

Remote in the UK | Salary: £29,450 - £37,000 (+ £2,500 Multilingual Premium) | Benefits include a £1,000 annual learning budget, Macbooks for remote work, and more. Join us to lead investigations into financial crimes within our EU business banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Investigate complex or high-risk anti-money laundering alerts on business accounts.
2. Recommend Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR) for Monzo Bank EU.
3. Make onboarding decisions in high-risk or complex cases.
4. Conduct ongoing due diligence on high-risk business accounts.
5. Provide financial crime expertise and support to operational teams.

Ideal Candidate

• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Fluent in Spanish (CEFR C1 level or higher).
• Experience with high-risk business banking screening or complex investigations.
• Ability to make independent, risk-based decisions in a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of financial crime risks in the UK and EU.

Additional Details

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm, with one in four weekends. Role starts Monday, August 4th, with an 8-week training period requiring full commitment.
